"You may be an answer, but you're not called to be everyone's answer."

40-Day Burlapf Fast

In a world filled with trends, schedules, deadlines, and so many people, it is EASY to feel pressure to do, go, be, and create something every day. As I’m sharing in real-time, I pause to reflect on past seasons and give God glory for my spiritual growth and so many other changes.

"Make all of this your constant meditation and make it real with your life so everyone can see that you are moving forward." (1 Timothy 4:15 TPT)

During the beginning of the pandemic, my faith allowed me to stop one business as God commanded, to create something unheard of. I then pivoted my skills to help other businesses stay afloat. Doing so meant that I had to gain new spiritual discipline in areas, apply for new licenses, create new marketing strategies, and flow with God. Most importantly, I had to be comfortable with how God made me and what He has anointed me and gifted me to do. I am to be an answer to entrepreneurs and the body of Christ.

Now, I am sharing the short version of the last three years of my life, but realistically, my life is not over, AND you don’t know the years of building, trials, successes, betrayal, transitions, and other issues before now. You only know what I am sharing in real-time. Stay with me!

Here are three tips that will bless your entire life:

Close off the old you

Pivoting in life may happen swiftly for you, but there will be doors that need closing so you are never pulled back into the old you. There will need to be some “yes” and a few “hard no” conversations had in order to keep you on your divine path. Because I gave God a full yes, I am now living my dream in real-time. I am even more clear about what solutions I carry.

Understand what solutions you carry

God doesn’t just operate in real-time. God is Time! I used to be in such a BIG HURRY to be everything to everybody all in one day. I found myself doing assignments that were not assigned to me, but others who were afraid to fully obey God. Doing so, I picked up their spiritual warfare. I lost peace to help others look good in public. It took me coming into contact with wisdom (I’ll introduce you to her later) and connecting with the right tribe of people who've learned not to live through the lenses of man but through God’s eyes.

Yes and No brings sweet rest

My tribe understands that “rest” is a weapon. Whether you consider today’s time to be a “troubled time” or your “best time,” flow with God. Learn to go on vacation with God, sit beside the still waters, and be restored whole. Practice the fundamentals of living holy just as much as you practice marketing a business or running a busy schedule each day. Examine what disturbs your peace and takes up your time with God.

Understand that 2+2=4, not 5. And if you are a 5, find where you fit so you may live in peace. Every problem is not yours to fix. You may be an answer, but you are not called to be everyone’s answer.

Catch your breath and pace yourself.
